Phyllis B. Schlieman

Phyllis Schlieman, age 93, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Hayward Health Services Nursing Home in Hayward.

Phyllis Barbara was born July 2, 1925 in Lenroot Township, Sawyer County, WI the daughter of John and Lillian (Ketterer) Harris.  She attended school in Hayward and Cable, WI.  After her schooling she worked as a waitress for Pines Café for several years.  While working at the café she met Wilber Schlieman.  Phyllis and Wilber were married on September 3, 1947 in Hayward, WI.  Together they moved to Murphys, CA where Phyllis was a homemaker raising her three children.  In 1983, Phyllis returned to Hayward to help with her mother.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles.  In her youth she was known for creating beautiful wedding and birthday cakes. 

Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Ed) Thompson of Lenroot Township, Sawyer County, WI, Linda LaDue of Elm Grove, LA; three grandchildren, Mike, Renee and Chris; severn great grandchildren, Taunie, Jade,Julie, Rieker, Ryder, Scott and Charles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilber; daughter, Debra; four brothers, William “Billy”, Bob, Gerald and Richard Harris.

There will be no services at this time.  A burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery in the future.
