Raymond C. Korzenieski

Raymond C. Korzenieski, age 64, of Radisson, WI died Friday, April 19, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake.

Raymond Clarence was born December 30, 1954 in Ladysmith, WI the son of Harry and Lillian (Wilferling) Korzenieski.  As a child, Ray moved with his family to Radisson, WI where he went to school until attending high school in Winter, WI.  Ray went to work for Walters Brothers Lumber Manufacturing Inc in Radisson where he spent his entire working career.  He did numerous jobs with Walters Brothers over the years but was primarily a lift operator.  On December 11, 1976, Ray was joined in marriage to Gail Bissonette near Couderay, WI at the Assembly of God Church.  Ray and Gail lived in Radisson and raised their three children there.   Ray was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being out on the Chippewa Flowage which he knew like the back of his hand.  He was also an accomplished cook who took great pride in any meal he was creating.  Some of his other past times that allowed him to indulge his urge to drive fast were four wheeling, jet skiing and snowmobiling.  He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed at their weekly Sunday family dinners.

Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gail; children, Eric Korzenieski of Radisson, Melissa  (Alan) Knop of Exeland, WI, Laura Korzenieski of Radisson; seven grandchildren, Indy Oldeen, Aeris Knop, Krysta Knop, Lucas Knop, Ethan Korzenieski, Alexander Korzenieski, and Lillianna Korzenieski; two brothers, Harry (Sandy) Korzenieski, Steve (Pam) Korzenieski, both of Exeland; one sister, Linda (Pat) Heddinger of Radisson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Mike Korzenieski.

A Funeral Service will be held for Ray at 5:00 pm, Friday, April 26 at the Hayward Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 3:00 pm until the time of service.  A private interment will be in the Radisson Cemetery.
