Gary T. Rajkowski

Gary T. Rajkowski, age 73, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023, at his residence in Hayward, WI.  He was born on February 18, 1949, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Thomas Fredrick and Florence Pearl (Billig) Rajkowski.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Erickson on July 29, 1972, in Brooklyn Center, MN. 

Gary attended college at Mankato State University.  He started working as a machinist for Boring Machine and later as a manufacturing engineer for Onan Corporation, retiring in 1997.  Gary and Sharon purchased property on Grindstone Lake near Hayward in 1989 and had the original cabin moved.  They had their new home framed on the original footprint and Gary was both eager and proud to finish the cabin himself.  They moved to Hayward from Minneapolis permanently in 2005.  He loved life in the Northwoods and enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and hunting. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Rajkowski of Hayward, WI; his two sons, Sam (Emily Kuhn) Rajkowski of Middleton, WI, and John (Amy Hanson) Rajkowski of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Thomas, Jakub, Louis, and Annika; his sister, Beth (Mike) Campbell of Ham Lake, MN; nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents.

Per Gary’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
