Janet Marie Rowe

Janet Marie Rowe, age 82, of Solon Springs, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN.  She was born May 1, 1938 in Superior, WI, the daughter of Frank Clifford and Lorraine Marie (Boyle) Stone.  She was united in marriage to James Dixon Rowe on August 9, 1958 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Solon Springs, WI. 

Janet graduated from Solon Springs High School in 1956 and worked for many years as a secretary in Superior.  She gladly stayed home with the children while they were young then returned to work for the Solon Springs High School for 32 years.  She enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, fishing and stock car races as a family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James Rowe of Solon Springs, WI; her children, Randall (Donna) Rowe of Solon Springs, WI, Kevin Rowe of Solon Springs, WI and Debra (Thomas) Stewart all of Oregon; her grandchildren, Chelsea (Justin) Garay, Aaron (Jackie) Stewart, Justin Rowe, Alex Rowe; her great-grandchildren, Chloe and Isaac Garay and Liam Stewart; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Stone, Kenneth Stone and Roger Stone; and her sister, Judith Stone.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Solon Springs, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of Mass.  Interment will be private.
