Jessie Marie Moody

Jessie Marie Moody, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 19, 2022, at Hayward Health Services in Hayward, WI.  She was born on March 18, 1930, in Cable, WI, the daughter of David and Blanche (Fries) McNaught.  She was united in marriage to Orville Moody on October 28, 1950.

Jessie was born and raised in Cable, WI and attended Cable schools.  She worked at several different stores, the last on being Ben Franklin in Hayward for over 24 years, retiring in 1992.  She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayward and loved serving with the lady’s guild and spending time with all the wonderful people in the congregation.  Jessie enjoyed embroidering, gardening, mowing the yard, and especially baking.  Her cookies and breads were greatly anticipated as she was very generous with her treats with both family and friends.  Jessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a caring friend to many.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia (Steve) Weiford of Madison, WI, Barbara (Brad) Harvey of Hayward, WI, and Brenda Moody of Hayward, WI; three grandchildren, Jeff Weiford, Aaron Weiford, and Sean (Casey) Levrich; two great-grandchildren, Levi, and Colton Levrich; her siblings, Marjorie (Albert) Funk, Jeanie Rice, Dorothy Jackson, Shirley (Patrick) Clare, Robert McNaught, Ronald McNaught, and Glenn (Christine) McNaught; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orville; her siblings, Blanche Meinke, David McNaught, Donald McNaught, and George McNaught.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10576 Gresylon Drive, in Hayward, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.  Interment will be in Seeley Riverside Cemetery.
