Katherine Kristine "Red" (Freid) Garvey

Katherine Kristine “Red” Garvey, daughter of Tim and Mary Freid was born October 12, 1969 in Sauk City, Wisconsin. She attended the public school of St. Croix High School in Solon Springs, Wisconsin. Kathy then had her two children, Beau and Trey. She enjoyed every minute with her boys and loved them with all her heart.

She was united in holy matrimony to Charles Scott Garvey, in June 2001. They were blessed to bring their children together and form a family of six. Scott, Kathy, and the kids shared many adventures and memories that will last a lifetime.

 Kathy was an active member of the community, particularly with the areas’ children. For twenty-one years, Kathy owned the local daycare impacting many families and young peoples’ lives. As a result of her generous spirit, and her beautiful personality, many loved her. Her life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She peacefully departed this life Monday, April 5th, 2021, at home with her loving and devoted family. She was preceded in death by Milton and Evelyn Leitha, Charles and Donna Garvey, Evert and Maude West, and Timothy (Timmy) Freid.

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Beau Patrick Edwards, Courtney Patrice Garvey, Charles Tyler Garvey, of Solon Springs, Wisconsin and Trey Michael Scheldroup, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; three grandchildren: Nolan, Olivia and Brantley; sister: Cheryl Larson, brothers: Dennis “Beaver” Freid, David Freid, Wade Peat, Warren Peat, and Waylon Peat; brother-in-law: Kurt Larson; sister-in-law: Patrice “Patsy” and Terry Tolene, Marilyn “Mikey” and Jr. Nishi, Sandra “Sandy” and Bill Lozier, Sandy Lind, Sarah Peat, Lori Imhoff Miller, and Jodi Peat; many adoring nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 11405 S 1st Street W in Solon Springs, where visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of the service.   Pastor Jason Clifton will officiate.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs.
