Phyllis Kamin

Phyllis M Kamin went to the house of the Lord peacefully on January 31, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.

Phyllis was born July 21, 1936, at home, in the Town of Chicog to Frank Sr. and Mildred Mattie, where she resided the majority of her life. She loved the Chicog area and was always called back home wherever she lived.

Phyllis retired from Spooner Health where she worked as a CNA for over 20 years. Her love of gardening kept her very busy in her flower beds, garden, and canning her garden bounty. If you were with her fishing, she would out fish everyone, but never bragged about it and just enjoyed eating and sharing with friends and family. Her ultimate joy was spending time with her children, family members, and friends, who she cherished. When you stopped in for a visit you were welcomed with a homemade treat and a cup of coffee while enjoying great story sharing and conversation. Her smile, kindness, and generosity will live on with all the hearts that she has touched.

She is preceded in death by her son Brian Kamin, her parents Frank Mattie Sr and Mildred Mattie, brother Frank Mattie JR and sister Beverly Dennis. She is survived by her daughter Caroline Kamin, sisters: Joyce Davis, Barb Duvall, Nancy Lee and her precious pets and companions Cookie, Tiny and Trouble, along with many nieces and nephews that she held close to her heart.

Per Phyllis’s wishes there will be a graveside service at Chicog Cemetery with a picnic to follow at her home this Spring/Summer.
