Steven Beck Obituary

Steven Keefe Beck, age 77, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at his residence in Loretta, WI.  He was born on November 12, 1943 in Aurora, IL, the son of Kermit and Estelle (Keefe) Beck.  He was united in marriage to Emma Pauline Werlein on May 5, 2005 in Eau Claire, WI.

Steven retired as plant manager from Aurora Industries (formerly Aurora Metals) after 43 years of dedicated service.  He coached boys’ baseball and girls’ softball in Aurora for over 25 years.  He proudly served as Cub Scout Leader for his boys for twelve years.  After his retirement in 2005, he moved to his lake home in Mondovi, WI and later moved to his current home on Loretta Lake in Draper Township.  Steven enjoyed life on the lake especially fishing. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Emma Beck of Loretta, WI; his children, Douglas (Robin) Beck of Ladysmith, WI, Brian Beck of Montgomery, IL, Robert (Sarah) Beck of Louisburg, NC, Robin O’Neill of Yorkville, IL, John (Anna) Woodford of Leland, IL, Lorri (Jeff) Dehnhoff of Colfax, WI, Angela (Steve) Kolstad of Osseo, WI, Brian (Mona) Woodford of Weyerhaeuser, WI and Jennifer (John Balika) of Mondovi, WI; twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Juanita Ann Beck of North Aurora, IL. 

In addition to his parents, Steven is preceded in death by his brother, Kermit Clemon Beck Jr.

All services and interment will be held privately.
